An Edwardian silver and guilloche enamel desk set, comprising seventeen items to include a spring balance letter scale, calendar clock, inkwells, stamp boxes, paper clip, pair of candlesticks, blotter, pen tray and a rectangular tray with leather back, retailed by Mappin & Webb, with London import marks for 1908, sponsors mark GS, (17)
Inkwell glass insert is chipped at the rim. The other screw top inkwell is missing the fitting to hold the finial on, and a pale patch in the enamel.
The rocker blotter has some small damages to the enamel on both sides of the top.
The pen holder has one of the prongs detached but present, just slides back in instead of screwing and does not stay. The other prong is bent.
One of the boxes has some enamel damage at the corners and some pale patches.
One of the candlesticks has a noticeable lean. The candlesticks are the tallest piece, and are 9cm.
